Joining the 16th edition of the Arte & Engenho Program at Grupo Casais was an enriching experience as a newly graduated civil engineer. From the very first day, I was welcomed into an environment that values curiosity and fosters continuous learning as well as professional growth.
Throughout the program, I had the opportunity to explore different departments, each with its own unique approach. This diversity provides a comprehensive view of the sector, allowing me to understand how the different areas interconnect to achieve effective results.

The collaborative spirit felt within the group is truly inspiring and demonstrates how each of us can contribute to collective success, turning challenges into opportunities.

The Arte & Engenho programme was an excellent kick-off for my professional career, opening up a range of opportunities and options for my path at Casais.

In my opinion, the Arte & Engenho programme is the ideal way for a recent graduate to start their journey at Casais, immediately entering a professional environment that involves many of the company’s departments. This exposure and holistic experience is a huge asset, as they later give us the vision, better knowledge of the company and the business, and the confidence to perform our assigned tasks more effectively.

My academic background at the Industrial University of Santander in Colombia and the University of Minho laid the foundation for my professional growth, and the Arte & Engenho Program marked a before and after in my career path. During my participation in this program, I had the opportunity to learn from highly experienced professionals, integrate into multidisciplinary teams from various companies within the Group, and work on solving real challenges in our industry. Thanks to this work, and with the support of the career development team, I found a place where I can make the most of all my abilities and do what truly inspires me. At Grupo Casais, we are encouraged to reach our best version, in an environment where opinions are valued, mistakes are seen as learning opportunities, and personal and professional development happens collaboratively.

I am participating in the Arte & Engenho program, which has allowed me to work in eight different areas: five that I have already gone through and three more that I will get to know in the coming months. In each experience, I have sought to develop solutions for real challenges, incorporating new digital tools and deepening knowledge in planning and continuous improvement methodologies.
Although this is not my first professional experience, the program has put me to the test in new skills, especially when working in different teams and meeting many people, making integration and collaboration even more enriching.
In addition to professional growth, this experience has also represented important personal growth, by facing challenges such as adapting to a new country and a new language, experiences that have broadened my perspective and strengthened my resilience and ability to learn continuously.

The Arte & Engenho Program has been extremely enriching, both personally and professionally.
I see the customization of the work plan according to the trainee’s competencies as a positive point. In my case, most of the journey has taken place in GoTwin, a project for which I have had great interest since before my arrival at the company.
In addition, as the first Brazilian selected for the Program, the company’s support in the relocation has also been another highlight, which has made the move to another country a simple and smooth process.

The Arte & Engenho Program was a true added value, both personally and professionally. During this year, I had the opportunity to explore different areas and aspects of the sector, deepening my knowledge in Industrial Engineering and Management and discovering up close the fascinating world of civil construction and how each phase contributes to the final result. The four months I spent on a modular construction site allowed me to understand how construction can be innovative, efficient, and versatile.
The international experience in Angola was, without a doubt, the cherry on top of the cake: three months in a different country, with a unique culture and so much to teach.
It was an incredible year, full of learning, sharing, and growth, always surrounded by people who welcomed me and helped me become a better professional.

The Arte & Engenho Program was for me the ideal beginning as a recent graduate.

The transition from the academic world to the professional one is a moment of change and discovery, and this program accompanies precisely that phase — a year of investment in training, adaptation, and growth, which transforms the potential of each trainee into real experience.

The passage through different areas and the contact with various teams provide a better integration into the company’s culture and values, as well as an understanding of the dynamics between the different departments and companies of the group.

The Arte & Engenho Program is a good opportunity for those who are entering the construction market. It offers us the possibility to get to know several areas involved in this sector: from the experience on site, both traditional and industrialized, to the production of prefabricated solutions and carpentry; also going through the departments related to business and corporate engineering.

It also offers us the opportunity to experience the international market. In my case, I went to Angola. There, I came into contact with a very different reality where I saw great potential for personal and professional growth. It was, without a doubt, a transformative experience.

I would say that Arte & Engenho is a program of sharing and applying knowledge. In addition, it is a good way to be integrated into the Casais Group because it allows us to develop our technical and personal skills in several different contexts.
